Educational Resources

Comprehensive educational kits have been developed for four age groups (segmented by learning capacity) for teachers to use as a resource when educating their students on safety and the importance of rules in the community.

These age groups are:

Kindergarten
Year Two
Year Four
Year Six

Each program contains educational materials and other resources designed specifically to cater to the education needs of these age groups, however they are also appropriate for composite classes. For example the Kindergarten program can be used for Preschool and Kindergarten composite classes, the Year 2 program for Year 1 and 2 composite classes and so on.

The education kits are supplemented by other initiatives such as advertising, promotional merchandise and Constable Kenny Koala School visits and public appearances. These activities reinforce safety messages; build the profile of the education campaign and Constable Kenny's position as Canberra's key safety adviser to children.
