Constable Kenny Koala can come to you and your students!
Kenny's messages can be built into your teaching and learning activities at school or at your centre.
For teachers of preschool to year 6 students, the Kenny Koala program has been linked with Every Chance to Learn – Curriculum Framework for the ACT (ACT Government 2008).
The program is also consistent with the ACT Department of Education's policies on Providing Safe Schools (2007), Countering Bullying, Harassment and Violence in ACT Public Schools (2007), the National Safe Schools Framework (2003).
Making a booking
As a result of a recommendation made in the review of the Constable Kenny Koala (CKK) School visit Program there has been a change to the booking requirements as seen below.
Childcare to year 3 classes
When booking a visit from CKK for these classes during terms one and two we would like you to book three half hour visits during the year (please refer to the dates that CKK will be in your zone). This will allow CKK to present and reinforce a range of messages to the students over the three visits.
Note: During the third and fourth terms two half hour visits can be arranged.
Year 4 to years 6 classes
When booking for these classes we are able to offer one off visits with a higher level message presented over a 45 minute visit.
